The French Foreign Ministry says a humanitarian mission dispatched to Colombia for hostage Ingrid Betancourt will soon leave Colombia, following the rebels' rejection of their efforts. The ministry said Tuesday that Spain, Switzerland and France - the three countries that had put the mission together - believe it is no longer justified to keep the mission in Colombia. "It should therefore soon leave Colombia," the ministry said in a statement late Tuesday. Copyright © 2008 The Seattle Times Company
